Using beautiful, natural materials like spotted gum and recycled hardwood posts, this project was a first floor addition to the existing house. The brief required the addition to blend seamlessly with the Hamptons-style existing home, providing a parents retreat, master bedroom, large walk-in robe, ensuite, laundry, and under-stair storage.

Exposed rafters, V-groove lining board ceilings and eave linings are featured in the new floor addition, along with a travertine deck and penny round tiles for the bathroom. Custom built cabinetry was installed to meet the storage needs of the household.

Finally, a new outdoor pizza oven was constructed within an off form outdoor kitchen, completing the transformation of this beachside home, ready for summer entertaining.
